Become a Student Ambassador
Valuable and rewarding, being a Student Ambassador will make you a vital link between your fellow students, your institution, the Society and the endocrine community.
Why become an Ambassador?
As a Society for Endocrinology Student Ambassador you will be an essential voice for your fellow students. At the same time you will cultivate valuable, transferable skills while taking an active role in the Society’s mission to promote the advancement of endocrinology. As an Ambassador you can get involved in many different ways including, but not limited to:
- Promoting the work of the Society within your institution to fellow students
- Acting as a voice of the student community through attending focus groups and advising on our Student Member policy and activities at the Society
- Providing thought pieces for the NEW Student Ambassadors area of the website and our magazine The Endocrinologist
- Setting up and hosting an Endocrine Club from your institution – alternatively, if you already are a part of a local Endocrine Club or Society we will help you connect with endocrine clubs at different institutions
You will be recognised for your involvement with a certificate and inclusion on the Ambassador list on the Society website, perfect for boosting your CV.
The scheme is open to all Student Members and to Scientist–in–Training Members who are PhD students. Between 2 and 3 representatives will be appointed at each university/institution with the aim of achieving a wide spread of representation throughout each institution. Initial term duration will be up to 2 years. Only a limited number of students will be chosen to represent each university/institution, if this sounds like the place for you, get in touch today!
