The City
Birmingham welcomes more than 24 million visitors every year. It is
a vibrant city boasting excellent facilities for the business person

choice of hotels and a travel network providing easy access for all
main types of transport, Birmingham really is the City at the Heart
of England.
The Conference Venue

The International Convention Centre (ICC) is one of five venues that
make up the NEC group. It boasts eleven main conference halls and ten
executive meeting rooms. Large-scale international events have been
hosted at the ICC such as the G8 Birmingham Summit and the International
Genetics Congress.

Transport Links to Birmingham
By train:
The ICC is minutes away from Birmingham New Street Station, the UK's
largest interchange station. Regular services connect you to London
(1hr 40mins away), Edinburgh (4hrs 30mins), Cardiff (2hrs) and most
other regional towns and cities throughout the UK. National Rail Enquiries,

By car:
Birmingham is at the hub of a comprehensive motorway network that
connects you to every corner of the country via the M5, M6, M40 and
M42. Furthermore, there are over 2000 parking spaces for the ICC and
a further 5000 spaces within walking distance. Parking spaces at the
ICC are charged at £8 per 24 hours (correct when programme went
to print).
By air:
More than 22 scheduled airlines serve Birmingham's International
Airport, located eight miles from the city centre. It is conveniently
located adjacent to Birmingham International Rail Station, so travellers
can access the city centre and the ICC quickly and conveniently.
