Clinical Update 2008
6-8 October 2008
Bristol Royal Marriott, Bristol
This is the second the series of residential clinical training events providing essential training for all trainees and new consultants and an excellent forum for networking opportunities with peers and established endocrinologists; the thirty faculty members will attend for the majority of the three days.
The event incorporates the Society’s Summer School and the Oxford Advanced Endocrinology Seminar series.
Over a three-year period, the programme covers the new national curriculum in endocrinology & diabetes and is set to become the UK’s premier national training event. Sessions will comprise didactic lectures for all delegates and a number of parallel, themed, interactive workshops. These workshops will be repeated a number of times providing delegates with the opportunity of attending all sessions over the three days. The programme for years 1, 2 and 3 will provide content at a similar level and will not move from basic to advanced over the three years.
A number of speakers from The Netherlands are included in the faculty reflecting the Society’s collaboration on this event with the Dutch Endocrine Society, and we look forward to welcoming some of the Dutch trainees.
Each of the themed workshops will contain at least one delegate case presentation; details of how to submit cases can be found here. The deadline for cases is 1 September.
