We are delighted to provide you with details of the Society for Endocrinology BES 2011 meeting, taking place in Birmingham on 11-14 April 2011.
The full programme is now available online
We are looking forward to building upon the success of our 2010 meeting and the Programme Committee has planned an exciting scientific programme. This annual meeting brings together the best of basic science, translational research, clinical investigation and clinical practice.
The meeting will encompass a number of plenary lectures, five of which are Society medal lectures. There will be nine symposia including the Young Endocrinologists’ symposium.
By popular demand we have increased the number of clinical Meet the Expert sessions and timed the scientific research Meet the Expert talks to the afternoon. Other sessions include Clinical Management Workshops, Nurse sessions and a Clinical Debate.
The meeting will feature both oral communications and poster presentations with many prizes available for high scoring presentations by Young and not so young Endocrinologists.
Birmingham is a cosmopolitan and vibrant city ideally placed for travel in and out of the UK. Just 2 hours from London by train and 30 minutes from the international airport, Birmingham has excellent access to the UK’s road and rail network. Located in the heart of Birmingham, the International Convention Centre is one of Europe’s leading conference venues, offering an extensive range of first-class facilities. Whilst proud of its heritage as the hub of the industrial revolution, Birmingham continues to change, adopting new industries and new communities. Appropriately, its civic motto is ‘Forward’.
The event will host a varied social programme which will include favourites such as the Welcome Reception and the Young Endocrinologists’ evening. A conference dinner will be held on the Tuesday evening, and lively entertainment will help to make this an evening to remember.
Registrations are also submitted online.
We look forward to seeing you in Birmingham.
