About the membership

Membership is open to anyone working in an endocrine-related field anywhere in the world and at any stage in their career.

There are five categories of membership open to new applicants.

Full Membership

For any member who does not fall into the following categories Associate, Clinician-in-Training, Scientist-in-Training, Nurse. Full Members are entitled to vote in any ballot.
[2010 price: £85.00/$160.00/€120.00]

Associate Membership

Open to any member who earns less than £25,000 per annum (excluding London weighting) upon receipt of a signed declaration on institutional letterhead from the applicant’s Head of Department.

Clinician-in-training Membership

Open to any member who has not yet completed their clinical training.

Scientist-in-training Membership

Open to any member who has not yet achieved a PhD or who is less than 6 years post PhD.

Nurse Membership

For any nurse working in an endocrine-related field.

Online journal access

BioSciAlliance

BioSciAlliance is an exciting service from BioScientifica that allows members to access a host of services using a single gateway. BioSciAlliance allows you to renew your membership, access abstract management and registration for Society meetings, update your membership profile and interact with fellow members, all using a single website.

Furthermore, Society members get free access to all SfE journals via this route.

Society members can logon to BioSciAlliance using their current membership number and password. Once you are logged on, you can build up your own profile and search for fellow members by geographical location or areas of interest. In addition, BioSciAlliance provides a wealth of educational resources, BioScientifica's world calendar of events and news articles on a range of biomedical specialities. There are two additional membership categories:

Senior Membership

Open to any member who has been a Full or Ordinary Member for a minimum of 15 years and who is retired from full time employment and/or clinical practice. Eligible members are asked to contact the Society. [No membership fee]

Honorary Membership

Honorary Membership is bestowed by Council of Management on individuals of special distinction in endocrinology or on those who have performed outstanding service to the Society. [No membership fee]

All members receive:-
  • Access to a number of grants
  • Free online access to the Society’s three journals as part membership
  • Discounted registration fees at SFE meetings and training courses
  • Password protected online access to the membership directory which enables members to keep in touch with other endocrinologists and their research interests.

This can be found on every postal mailing we send you and most emails that you receive from the Society or by logging in to the members secure area at www.bioscientifica.info/sfe/sfemembers/login.aspx.  New members may request their membership number from members@endocrinology.org
