What is RSS?

RSS is commonly known to stand for ‘Really Simple Syndication’ or news feeds. The news feeds are just another page on the Society’s website that have been designed to be used by news readers. These news readers are pieces of software that can be installed on your machine or are already incorporated into your web browser.

Once you have a news reader you can subscribe to the many feeds available on the Internet including this website. Look for the RSS feed logo .

The BBC provides more information on RSS and also lists a range of news readers that you can use, most of which are freely available.
