About the special interest groups
The Society for Endocrinology formed special interest groups (SIGs) in order to provide a focus for the sub-specialities within endocrinology and so strengthen the discipline as a whole. The SIGs:
- provide a framework for the sub-specialties to come together in a community
- promote interdisciplinary interests within the Society
- increase the profile of endocrinology as a speciality
- produce clinical guidance
- organise small meetings
