Pituitary Special Interest Group (Pit SIG)

Background

The Pituitary SIG is a forum for the dissemination of knowledge, communication, support and collaboration on scientific and clinical aspects of the Pituitary gland. We aim to provide a support network for all of our members, regardless of background (e.g. Scientist/Clinician) or their stage of career. The Group is lead by Dr Rob Fowkes (London) (rfowkes@rvc.ac.uk) and Dr Jack Ham (Cardiff) (HamJ@cardiff.ac.uk).

Actions

  • To raise the profile of research into the physiology and pathophysiology of the Pituitary Gland in the UK
  • To provide a forum for clinicians in terms of improving diagnosis and management
  • To encompass any other areas of common interest- such as comparative physiology of non-human pituitary glands
  • To provide a forum for young or novice researchers to develop their interests in the Pituitary Gland
