Registration for SfE BES 2021 is now open


Physical attendance

The delegate fee for the conference includes access to all scientific sessions and covers the cost of tea, coffee and lunches throughout the event. Attending the event also provides you with the opportunity to explore the commercial exhibition, discuss posters with peers as well plenty of networking opportunities, including the Welcome Reception. Once registered, a confirmation of receipt will be sent via email from Worldpay along with a detailed booking confirmation. Registration for social events must be booked in advance at the time of registration in order to secure a place. There is no deadline for registration.

The Society understands that during the current climate delegates registered for the physical SfE BES event may still be unable to attend in person later in the year due to reasons which arise outside of their control relating to the pandemic and/or work commitments and therefore recognises the need to be flexible in terms of cancellations/refunds for physical event attendees.

The refund policy for SfE BES 2021 physical attendees

Delegates registered for the physical SfE BES 2021 event in Edinburgh may cancel their registration for the event in writing to SfEBESconference@endocrinology.org up until Monday 8th November 2021 (11.59pm GMT) and will be given the following two options:

  • Be refunded 50% of the full physical event ticket cost, with access to the on-demand content for the conference made available for viewing post-event
  • Be refunded 90% of the full physical event ticket cost, in this case, no access will be available to the on-demand content for the conference.

We are unable to refund delegates 100% of the registration fees due to administrative costs.

Please note: Accommodation and travel costs are the sole responsibility of delegates, the Society is unable to refund pre-booked accommodation and travel costs and this will be at the discretion of individual hotels and providers.


On-demand registration 

Delegates who are unable to attend the conference in Edinburgh will be able to register to view a selection of the event programme on-demand following the physical event taking place. You must register before Wednesday 10 November 11:59pm (GMT) in order to access the on-demand content, all registered delegates will be sent a link to access the on-demand content from SfE BES 2021 within 7 days of the physical event taking place on 8-10 November 2021. We will try our very best to allow access to the on-demand content within 24 hours after the physical conference has taken place, however, we can ensure it will be no later than 7 days after SfE BES 2021.

A booking confirmation will be sent via email once you have completed your registration. You will also receive a WorldPay payment receipt.

Registration Important Information

  • Please note that payment onsite will be accepted by credit or debit cards ONLY.
  • If you wish to join the Society in order to take advantage of the discounted member registration fee at the early bird rate please apply for membership no later than 15 September 2021 11:59 pm (BST). If you apply for membership after this deadline the early bird rate will not be guaranteed.
  • If you wish to join the society in order to take advantage of the discounted member registration fee at the standard rate please apply for membership no later than the 01 November 2021 11:59 pm (GMT). If you apply for membership after this deadline the standard rate will not be guaranteed.
  • A limited number of day delegate rates may be made available. If you wish to be considered please email your request and reasoning to SfEBESconference@endocrinology.org

Society for Endocrinology event policy - Children*

Children (anyone under the age of 18 years) are not permitted in the exhibition hall at any time.

The nature of the programme content and to avoid distracting/interrupting speakers or other delegates, children are not allowed to attend any presentations in the scientific programme or industry-sponsored satellite symposia.

In all other areas of the event children are allowed and breastfeeding is welcomed. A private room will also be available upon request for breastfeeding or nursing women to express. Where catering is only available in the exhibition hall and you have a child with you, please speak to a member of the Society Events Team, either via registration or the Organiser’s Office, and catering and refreshments will be provided for you in an alternative area

For reasons of insurance liability and safety, infants must be held or be in a pushchair at all times.

* For this policy children are defined as anyone under the age of 18 which includes infants and babes in arms.
