Criteria for appointment include: a PhD or equivalent; a strong interest in improving sustainable animal production by understanding how environmental, nutritional, hormonal, and behavioural stressors interact with gene expression; a record of excellence in scholarly research; and demonstrable potential to establish a competitively-funded research program relevant to animal stress in sustainable animal agriculture. The appointee will be responsible for teaching an undergraduate course incorporating stress physiology and additional contributions to the departmental curriculum.
