Quality Assurance Project Manager (Society of Biology)

Responsible to the Head of Education, the Society of Biology are looking to appoint a Quality Assurance Project Manager to start immediately. The main objective of the role will be to manage the production of an assessment framework, quality assurance documentation, and evaluation and monitoring process for the Society of Biology’s degree accreditation pilot programme.

Responsibilities of the role will be: to manage the development of a system of assessment for degree programmes applying for Society of Biology degree accreditation; to ensure that mechanisms of quality assurance for the assessment process are developed, with initial documents in place by May 2011; to co-ordinate the production of documentation for the assessment process; to co-ordinate the development of a system of fees and charges for the programme; to co-ordinate the evaluation and monitoring process of the accreditation pilot programme; and to carry out any additional related work as deemed necessary by the head of education.

The ideal candidate will have: experience of project management, including evaluation and monitoring processes and/or quality assurance in an educational setting, preferably higher education proven project management experience; good computer literacy; good interpersonal skills; and the ability to take on board the details of the project quickly and work to tight deadlines.
