The British Medical Association (BMA) awards 10 grants annually with a total value of £500 000 to projects in several fields of clinical research. In 2011 the grants will fund research into topics including obesity, cancer and health behaviour.

The grants have different eligibility criteria: some are only available to members of the BMA whilst others are open to non-member clinicians and non-clinician research scientists.
