The Addison's Disease Self Help Group (ADSHG) have responded to the British Medical Journal's coverage of a Department of Health-commissioned report on medicines wastage, highlighting that the report shows that 28-day repeat prescribing is ineffective at controlling waste when applied indiscriminately to patients with long-term conditions. ADSHG argue that clinicians should adopt longer-term repeat prescribing practice.
