Pill could end the misery of period pains (Daily Telegraph, 23 March 2010)
A drug that blocks the action of the hormone vasopressin is currently being developed in the UK, which could lead to a novel treatment for dysmenorrhoea - a condition characterised by cramps and other symptoms such as nausea that occur during menstruation which affects between 45 and 90 percent of women of childbearing age.
