Heather Fry has been appointed Director of Education and Participation at Higher Education Funding Council for England (HEFCE), succeeding John Selby who retires at the end of April 2010.

Heather has been Head of Learning and Teaching at HEFCE since November 2008, leading on policy development and implementation in areas such as quality assurance and enhancement, and teaching funding policy. Heather has wide experience of working in universities, holding academic appointments both in the England and abroad, and is an expert in higher and professional education policy and practice.
