Director of Grant Giving and Charity Services, Kidney Research UK

20 May 2009

Founded in 1961, Kidney Research UK is the leading UK charity funding research that focuses on the prevention, treatment and management of kidney disease. The charity also dedicates its work to improving patient care and raising awareness of kidney disease. Kidney Research UK is at an exciting stage as we now enter a new phase of development and growth. To enable us to achieve our aims, we have identified the need for a new role for our Senior Management Team which will play a vital part in the ambitious programme of development and expansion to significantly increase the charity’s impact.

This is an exciting opportunity to drive and shape the work involved in achieving our challenging ambitions, through the strategic development of Kidney Research UK’s direct charitable activity and expenditure. You will be responsible for developing the necessary internal and external networks and will be the individual who will be both informed about and act as the source of information to the Senior Management Team and Trustees, for all relevant regulatory, legal and policy matters surrounding our charity and research activity. You will be responsible for income for restricted and commissioned research and charity activity, and will ideally have previous experience of grant giving and grant co-ordination.

A Nursing or Medical Qualification in Nephrology and/or Research is desirable. To find out more, please the website below. For an informal discussion, please call our consultants Sandra Hamovic on 020 7932 4372 or Penny Wood on 020 7932 4260. The closing date for applications is Monday 8 June 2009.
