Via healthjobsuk.com. King’s College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust are seeking an experienced Band 8a Diabetes Specialist Nurse to join their internationally renowned team of diabetes experts. The Diabetes Centre at Kings is at the fore front of advances in diabetes care and provides a number of tertiary services including pump and Islet cell transplantation therapy. The role is integral in the delivery of these specialist services and a particular interest and skills in the delivery of structured education programmes for people with Type 1 is essential. Other areas of interest that would be beneficial include an interest in insulin pump therapy, research and psychosocial management The successful applicant must have considerable, demonstrable experience working as a diabetes nurse specialist with proven clinical skills. The applicant should be self motivating, organised, computer literate and able to demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills with a commitment to continued personal development.
