The Diabetes Centre at Kings is at the fore front of advances in diabetes care and provides a number of tertiary services including pump and Islet cell transplantation therapy. The role is integral in the delivery of these specialist services and a particular interest and skills in the delivery of structured education programmes for people with Type 1 is essential. Other areas of interest that would be beneficial include an interest in insulin pump therapy, research and psychosocial management The successful applicant must have considerable, demonstrable experience working as a diabetes nurse specialist with proven clinical skills. The applicant should be self motivating, organised, computer literate and able to demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills with a commitment to continued personal development.
