PhD studentships in skeletal muscle metabolism and epigenetics (UK/Australia)

Coventry University and Deakin University is inviting applications from suitably-qualified graduates for a (fully-funded) PhD studentship based in Centre For Sport, Exercise And Life Sciences within the Institute for Health and Wellbeing. Working with Dr Mark Turner at Coventry University, Prof Sean McGee and Dr Bobby Shamim at Deakin University, the studentship’s will investigate how histone acetylation in skeletal muscle is implicated in the aetiology of metabolic disease, and how lifestyle factors can modulate these changes.

 

This studentship is part of the Coventry University Co-tutelle PhD programme in collaboration with Deakin University. As part of the Co-tutelle program, the candidate will be based at Coventry University in the first year with the opportunity to spend the following year at Deakin University before returning to complete the final 1.5 years in Coventry.
