Student Media Award 2025

We are pleased to launch the SfE Student Media Award 2025!

The Society for Endocrinology is delighted to announce the launch of the 2025 Student Media Award – an exciting opportunity for students to get creative, develop their science communication skills, and bring hormone science to life.

This annual competition invites students to create a piece of media aimed at KS4 pupils (aged 14–15), covering one of three fascinating topics:

• Cortisol 
• Thyroid 
• Progesterone 

Entries can take a variety of formats – from videos and posters to podcasts or other creative media – giving students the freedom to choose how best to communicate their ideas.

Why take part?

The Student Media Award is a brilliant way for students to:

• Enhance science communication skills
• Showcase creativity and innovation
• Add valuable experience to CVs and university applications
• Gain recognition by featuring on the Society’s You and Your Hormones website

Awards and prizes

• First place: £300 plus one year of free Society membership
• Second place: £200 plus one year of free membership
• Third place: £100 plus one year of free membership

We can’t wait to see how students bring science to life through their chosen medium. Whether it’s an animation, a poster, a podcast, or something completely original, this is a chance to communicate endocrinology in exciting and creative ways.
