Autumn issue of The Endocrinologist now available online

25 Sept 2017

The autumn edition of the Society’s quarterly magazine The Endocrinologist is now available to read online for free.

This edition, entitled ‘From genetics to therapeutics: Thyroid covered’, is dedicated to that ‘quintessential’ endocrine organ: the thyroid. We hear about a new campaign to promote better eye care for thyroid eye disease, examine the genetic basis of congenital hypothyroidism, consider L-T3 treatment in hypothyroidism, look to the future with thyroid regenerative therapy, and consider therapeutic strategies in radioiodine refractory thyroid cancer. We also mark a quarter of a century of support of thyroid patients by the British Thyroid Foundation.

In Society News, we consider how best to secure the future of the Society, and provide information on the upcoming SfE BES conference. The introduction of the Society for Endocrinology Endocrine Nurse Grant is announced, and there is news of an exciting collaboration with NIHR Clinical Research Network to promote research in endocrinology.
