About the membership

Membership is open to anyone working in an endocrine-related field anywhere in the world and at any stage in their career.

There are four categories of membership open to applicants:

Full Membership

For any member who does not fall into the following categories Associate, Clinician-in-Training, Scientist-in-Training. Full Members are entitled to vote in any ballot.

Associate Membership

Open to any member who earns less than £20,000 per annum (excluding London weighting) upon receipt of a signed declaration on institutional letterhead from the applicant’s Head of Department.

Clinician-in-training Membership

Open to any member who has not yet completed their training.

Scientist-in-training Membership

Open to any member who has not yet achieved a PhD or who is less than 6 years post PhD.

Associate Members, Clinicians-in-training and Scientists-in-training are entitled to free online access to the full text of the Society’s three journals Journal of Endocrinology, Journal of Molecular Endocrinology, Endocrine-Related Cancer and Wiley Blackwell’s journal Clinical Endocrinology.

Senior Membership

Open to any member who has been a Full or Ordinary Member for a minimum of 15 years and who is retired from full time employment.  Eligible members are asked to contact the Society.

Honorary Membership

Honorary Membership is bestowed by Council of Management on individuals of special distinction in endocrinology or on those who have performed outstanding service to the Society.

Corporate Membership

For any pharmaceutical or medical equipment company. Corporate Members are entitled to attend all scientific meetings, receive discounts on exhibition space at the Society's annual meeting in the Spring and to receive the Society's publications at a discounted rate. All members receive:-
  • A copy of the quarterly newsletter The Endocrinologist.
  • Regular information on meetings and training courses.
  • Password protected online access to the membership directory which enables members to keep in touch with other endocrinologists and their research interests.
