Late Breaking Abstract Submission is now closed.

The late breaking submission deadline is Monday 14 August 2023 (11.59pm BST).

Any abstracts received after this date will not be considered.

Sharing your work at the Society for Endocrinology BES 2023 conference is a fantastic opportunity to get useful feedback and ideas to progress your work as well as boosting your presentation and networking skills.

Abstracts are accepted on the understanding that the work has not been published or presented elsewhere, excluding associated Society for Endocrinology events.

Accepted abstracts are presented at the Conference either as a poster or as an oral presentation. They will also be published online in Endocrine Abstracts – a fully open access and citable record of the abstracts presented at the Conference. View the abstracts from SfE BES 2022.

Abstracts should be no longer than 300 words (including numbers, symbols and tables) and you must select one category from the list below. The use of figures or photographs are not permitted.

If your case is accepted for presentation you will be entitled to a discounted publication in Endocrinology, Diabetes & Metabolism Case Reports, a Society for Endocrinology-endorsed online resource.

Conditions of acceptance

Abstracts are also accepted on the understanding that they will be presented at the meeting either as a poster or as an oral presentation. Any author failing to present an accepted abstract at this meeting will automatically be excluded from submitting any future abstracts.

The Programme Committee reserves the right of the final decision regarding acceptance of abstracts and the form of presentation.

Abstracts are marked blind (anonymously). Please note that the reviewing panel for abstracts submitted to the nursing category predominantly includes nurses.

Notification of acceptance or rejection will be sent to authors in August 2023, before the early bird registration deadline.

Detailed instructions concerning oral presentations and poster sessions will be emailed to qualifying authors with notification of acceptance.

Please note, abstracts that are accepted as poster presentations will need to be displayed on A0 portrait poster boards.

Prizes and awards

Early career presenting authors of accepted abstracts may be considered for a range of prizes and awards, which are presented during the Conference and recognised at the Society for Endocrinology BES 2023 Awards Ceremony.
