Membership categories and fees

No matter what stage you are in your career, if you're working in a field related to endocrinology, we have a membership category for you.

Full Membership

For any member who does not fall into the following categories: Clinician-in-Training, Scientist-in-Training, Nurse, Associate, Student. Full Members are entitled to vote in any ballot.

2018 annual price: £97.00

Grant eligibility period: 1 year from application date.

Lifetime membership price (Full Members only):  £1,552.00

 

Clinician-in-Training Membership

Open to any member who is undertaking and not yet completed their clinical training.

2018 annual price: £65.00

Grant eligibility period: 6 months from application date with the exception of a Travel Grant to attend the Society’s SfE BES conference.

 

Scientist-in-Training Membership

Open to any member who is working towards or is within 10 years post PhD and has not undertaken any clinical training.

2018 annual price: £38.00 

Grant eligibility period: 6 months from application date with the exception of a Travel Grant to attend the Society’s SfE BES conference.

 

Nurse Membership

For any nurse working in an endocrine-related field.

2018 annual price:  £62.00

Grant eligibility period: 1 year from application date with the exception of a Travel Grant to attend the Society’s Endocrine Nurse Update.

 

Associate Membership

Open to any member who does not fall into the following categories Clinician-in-Training, Scientist-in-Training, Student and who earns less than £25,000 per annum (excluding London weighting) upon receipt of an annual signed declaration on institutional letterhead from the applicant’s Head of Department.

2018 annual price:  £38.00

Grant eligibility period: 1 year from application date.

Student Membership

For anyone who is:

  • A first year student undertaking a 1+3 year PhD (ie the Masters element preceding a 3yr PhD)
  • An undifferentiated clinical trainee (at one of the following levels: FYI, FY2, ST1/CT1, ST2/CT2)
  • A full time Medical student
  • A full time Masters student
  • A full time undergraduate bioscience or veterinary student
  • A full time undergraduate nurse student

2018 annual price: £10.00

Student Members normally need to be nominated by a Full Member of the Society for Endocrinology.  Please ask your nominator to contact members@endocrinology.org verifying that you fulfil one of the above criteria and providing us with your name and email address. You will then be sent an application form.

Student Members have online access to the Society's journals free of charge, receive a copy of the Society's magazine and email alerts and will be given priority for SfE BES Registration Grants. Other grants are not available to Student Members.

 

Senior Membership

Open to any member who has been a Full Member for a minimum of 15 years and who is retired from full time employment and clinical practice. Eligible members are asked to contact the Society via members@endocrinology.org.

2018 annual price: free

 

Honorary Membership

Honorary Membership is bestowed by Council of Management on individuals of special distinction in endocrinology or on those who have performed outstanding service to the Society. No membership fee.
