Dr Anand Velusamy

Dr Anand Velusamy is a Consultant Endocrinologist at Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust, London, with specialist expertise in adrenal, thyroid disease, calcium disorders and neuroendocrine tumours (NETs). He has advanced skills in thyroid fine needle aspiration (FNA) and organises annual thyroid ultrasound course in affiliation with the society.

He has a strong focus on clinical and commercial research, working at the interface of academia and industry to drive innovation, support high-impact trials and accelerate the translation of scientific advances into clinical practice.

As a member of the Corporate Liaison Committee of the British Society for Endocrinology, he plays a key role in strengthening strategic partnerships between clinicians, researchers and industry to deliver meaningful advances in endocrine care.
