The University of Edinburgh has 5 positions available to dedicated clinicians in any clinical discipline whose ambition is to pursue a career in academic medicine.

The positions are open to those who already hold a specialty training position in their chosen discipline in the UK, and who have yet to undertake a period of full-time research leading to a doctorate degree. The progression of the positions are flexible but will typically provide a year of predoctoral clinical and research training, a three-year fellowship leading to a PhD, and a postdoctoral Clinical Lectureship leading to a Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT).
