Abstracts
Sharing your work at the Society for Endocrinology BES 2026 conference is a fantastic opportunity to get useful feedback and ideas to progress your work as well as boosting your presentation and networking skills.
Abstract submission deadline: Monday 13 October 2025 (11:59 BST)
Abstracts are accepted on the understanding that the work has not been published or presented elsewhere. Encore abstracts are not accepted, excluding associated Society for Endocrinology events.
Ahead of the conference, you will be able to explore the complete collection of abstracts that are due to be presented at SfE BES 2026 in Endocrine Abstracts - a permanent, fully citable website that’s freely available to all without access restrictions. In an effort to be more environmentally friendly, the abstract list will only be available to access online and not in a printed format.
Accepted abstracts are presented at the Conference as an oral presentation, printed poster, or ePoster. You can view abstracts from SfE BES 2025 here.
The Society for Endocrinology hopes to attract a wide range of endocrine related research to its meeting to be shared and viewed by members of the field.
Submit your abstract
If you have any issues or queries regarding your abstract submission, oral or poster presentation, please contact the SfE BES 2026 Conference Team at [email protected].
Abstracts should be no longer than 300 words (including numbers, symbols, tables and references) and you must select one category from the list below. The use of figures or photographs is not permitted.
The use of tables and references is permitted but please note that these will be included in your word count.
You should make sure that your results section contains data wherever possible.
Abstracts must be submitted using our online submission system, Oxford Abstracts. Please note that you will need to register and create an account on this site before submitting an abstract for the first time.
Abstracts are accepted on the understanding that at least one author will register and attend SfE BES 2026. Any author failing to present an accepted abstract at the Conference will automatically be excluded from submitting any future abstracts.
The Programme Committee reserves the right of the final decision regarding acceptance of abstracts and the form of presentation.
Abstracts are marked blind (anonymously). Please note that the reviewing panel for abstracts submitted to the Nursing Practice category predominantly includes nurses.
Notification of acceptance or rejection will be sent to authors in mid-November 2025, ahead of the early bird registration deadline.
Detailed instructions and guidelines for creating presentations and posters will be emailed to qualifying authors shortly afterwards.
Please note that accepted printed posters must be displayed in portrait (or vertical) orientation, and must be a maximum of 140cm x 90cm in size.

Would you like to be considered for the Society’s Emerging Researcher Prize Lecture?
Along with your SfE BES abstract, submit your cv and supervisor statement, for a chance to be chosen to deliver either the clinical or science Emerging Researcher Prize Lecture 2026.
Aimed at Early Career members of the Society, this is an opportunity to have your work recognised across the wider endocrine community. Winners will be selected based on quality, originality and impact.
To apply, following your abstract submission, please send your cv and supervisor statement to [email protected] by Monday 13 October 2025.
