Two of our members, Dr Maria Phylactou and Dr Bijal Patel, from Imperial College London, recently spoke to school children and their parents from York about endocrinology, what endocrinologists do and how to become an endocrinologist. The York Independent and State Schools Partnership (ISSP) is a partnership of 12 secondary schools and their lecture series is aimed at years 7 and 8. Dr Phylactou and Dr Patel spoke to over 100 families during their interactive online talk and their lively Q&A session went on for over 20 minutes.
