The Royal Osteoporosis Society (ROS) has recently launched a new medicine support service called BoneMed Online for people with osteoporosis who have been prescribed a bone-strengthening medicine to reduce the risk of fractures.
Osteoporosis medicines reduce the risk of broken bones when taken over time. Yet national data shows less than 12% of people are still taking their medicines a year after it’s prescribed. This is where BoneMed Online comes in!
BoneMed Online gives people with osteoporosis the information they need about their medicine when they need it most. The online support service addresses people’s questions and concerns about how their medicine works, how to take it, and possible side effects. It includes a short online survey, a medicine summary tailored to the specific medicine they’ve been prescribed, and a series of emails over the course of one year to support individuals at each point of their medicine journey.
BoneMed Online is designed to support people to make the right decisions for them around continuing their medicine, and help them to feel more empowered and informed.
Sign up to the free service and join the thousands of people who have already started their BoneMed Online journey.
