Society for Endocrinology - a world-leading authority on hormones

The National Clinical Cases 2023 Call for Cases is now closed.

Submitters will be informed of the outcome of their case submissions in early March 2023.

Do you have an interesting or challenging case that you believe will help others advance their understanding of endocrinology?

Showcasing ten Oral Communications chosen from the highest-scoring cases, the National Clinical Cases Meeting provides the ideal forum to share cases and experiences with other clinicians.

The submission deadline for cases is Wednesday 8 February 2023 (11:59pm GMT).

The submitting author of all cases accepted for presentation will be notified in early March 2023. Ten cases will be invited for oral presentation and all other accepted cases will be invited for either poster presentation or for printing in the Meeting Programme Book only. All accepted cases will be published online in Endocrine Abstracts.

Why submit your work?

  • Present research and share professional experiences that could have a significant impact within the field of endocrinology.
  • Gain recognition for your work and receive feedback from peers and senior endocrinologists.
  • Become eligible for one of the eight Society prizes available exclusively to accepted case authors.

If your case is accepted for presentation you will be entitled to a discounted open access publication in Endocrinology, Diabetes & Metabolism Case Reports, a Society for Endocrinology-endorsed online resource.

For any queries regarding cases, please contact the National Clinical Cases 2023 Meeting Team at [email protected].

The three top-scoring oral presentations will be awarded as follows; £250 for the first prize, £150 for the second prize and £100 for the third prize. The three highest scoring posters will also receive £100 each. These will be awarded in the final session of the day.

The Royal Society of Medicine Endocrinology & Diabetes Section can award two additional prizes specifically for undifferentiated trainees. These two prizes are worth £100 each.

Poster Presentations

All authors with cases accepted as poster presentations should bring a physical poster of their work to the Meeting. All physical posters should be printed in A0 size and be presented in portrait orientation. Fixings for your poster will be available to collect from the venue.

Cases are accepted on the understanding that they will be presented at the meeting as a Poster, as an Oral Communication, or simply printed in the Meeting Programme Book. At least one author from each accepted case must register and attend the Meeting in order to present.

Any author failing to present an accepted case at this meeting will automatically be excluded from submitting any future cases.

The Programme Committee reserves the right to have the final decision regarding acceptance of cases and the form of presentation.

Cases are marked blind (anonymously).

Notification of acceptance or rejection will be sent to authors in early March 2023.

Detailed instructions concerning Oral Communications and Posters will be emailed to qualifying authors after notification of acceptance.

Please note that the deadline for withdrawals and amendments is Friday 10 March 2022. After this date your case will be published in Endocrine Abstracts, even if you do not present at the Meeting.
