Research Training Meeting
5pm-7pm Tuesday 21 April
Hosted by the Society’s Bone and Calcium Network this session is aimed at endocrine specialists early in their clinical research careers. The Meeting will cover topics such as GCP, informed consent, the role of the NIHR Clinical Research Networks, recruitment and retention as well as looking at what it takes for a successful clinical research study. Although organised by the Bone and Calcium Network the topics covered in this meeting will be broadly applicable to clinical research work across the full range of endocrine practice.
The faculty will include Dr Rachel Crowley (consultant endocrinologist), Esther Thomas (NIHR CRN Lead Nurse for Workforce in the East of England) and Professor Jeremy Turner (consultant endocrinologist).
Although primarily aimed at Endocrine Specialist Nurses with session will also benefit trainee endocrinologists looking to pursue clinical research.
