Society for Endocrinology announcement

The National training scheme for the use of radioiodine in benign thyroid disease is postponed.

The Society has been closely monitoring updates and recommendations from the World Health Organization (WHO), Public Health England and the government, as well as actively following travel advisories and restrictions being placed on hospitals and institutions with regards to COVID-19. The health and well-being of our attendees and organisers is our number one priority and we are sensitive to the additional pressures on the NHS. After careful consideration it has been decided to follow the recommendation from the Society’s Officers and to postpone the National training scheme for the use of radioiodine in benign thyroid disease until the latter part of 2020.

We thank you for your support, further announcements will be made here.
