Abstracts

Sharing your work at the SfE BES 2020 conference is a fantastic opportunity to get useful feedback and highlight your work to potential collaborators.

Submit your abstract

Accepted abstracts are presented at the event either as a poster or as an oral presentation. They will also be published online in Endocrine Abstracts, a citable Open Access record of the conference. Abstracts are accepted on the understanding that the work has not been published or presented elsewhere, excluding associated Society for Endocrinology events.

Abstract submission deadline: Monday 6 July 2020 (11.59pm BST)

If you are planning to submit an abstract but are unable to do so by the above deadline due to COVID-19 please do contact us on sfebesconference@endocrinology.org. Unless previously agreed, any abstracts received after Monday 6th July will not be considered. The abstract should be no longer than 300 words (including numbers, symbols and tables) and you must select one category from the list below. Full format and guidelines of abstracts can be seen in the online submission form.

Please note that you will be required to register to the abstract submission system and then verify your email address before being able to submit your abstract.

Conditions of acceptance

Abstracts are also accepted on the understanding that they will be presented at the meeting either as a poster or as an oral presentation. Any author failing to present an accepted abstract at this meeting will automatically be excluded from submitting any future abstracts.

The Programme Committee reserves the right of the final decision regarding acceptance of abstracts and the form of presentation.
Abstracts are marked blind (anonymously). Please note that the reviewing panel for abstracts submitted to the nursing category predominantly includes nurses.

Notification of acceptance or rejection will be sent to authors in August 2020, before the early bird deadline in September 2020.
Detailed instructions concerning oral presentations and poster sessions will be emailed to qualifying authors with notification of acceptance.

Please note, abstracts that are accepted as poster presentations will need to be displayed on A0 portrait poster boards.
