The Society’s journals are part of CrossRef which is a collaborative reference linking service. It effects linkages through CrossRef Digital Object Identifiers (CrossRef DOI), which are tagged to article metadata supplied by the participating publishers. The result is a linking system through which a researcher can click on a reference citation in a journal and access the cited article.

CrossRef wants to find out about researcher/author awareness of citation reference linking, DOIs, and CrossRef itself. Please take a few minutes to answer some simple questions about linking in online journals. Respondents who complete the survey before 31 October 2009 will be entered in a draw for a Flip Video recorder, although we may keep the survey open for a few months.
