We are pleased to announce that Mrs Sangita Sharma has completed the criteria for her Certificate of Adult Endocrine Nursing and she will be presented with her certificate and badge during the nurses’ session at next year’s SFE BES meeting.

Also, to Professor Raj Thakker who was awarded the Louis V Avioli Founder’s Award for fundamental contributions to bone and mineral basic research at the American Society of Bone and Mineral Research meeting in September in Denver, Colorado. Professor Thakker is the first non-American to receive this award.

And, to Dr Faisal Ahmed who has been made Professor of Developmental Endocrinology at the Royal Hospital For Sick Children, University of Glasgow.
