Key Tasks: Leadership/Strategic Direction - The Global Director has responsibility for the establishment and maintenance of a leadership position within GCD for the designated therapeutic area. Input into strategic planning, annual budgeting and in particular, resource identification to support the therapeutic initiative. Medical/Therapeutic Expertise - The Global Director must be specifically knowledgeable within one or more therapeutic areas and should maintain such expertise, and especially in the area of global operational implementation within the therapeutic area. Business Development/ Marketing - The Global Director works hand-in-hand with MDS Business Development and Operations personnel to develop and win business opportunities. The Global Director will develop disease strategies, and business plans within the identified disease focus area. Project Oversight - The Global Director will have executive oversight of and responsibility for the medical aspects of all projects in the Therapeutic Initiative, including review/design/consultation on studies, protocols, and design/elaboration of CRFs, as well as therapeutic training of MDS associates.

Requirements: This position requires a MD, Doctorate, or Endocrinologist with a minimum of 5 years industry or other appropriate experience. Excellent verbal/written communication and interpersonal skills are required. In addition, demonstrated matrix leadership and technical skills are a must.
