This is a new and unique post developed to support patients undergoing treatment for endocrine cancers. The post holder will play a strategic role in co-ordinating the care and treatment of the patient, liaising with referring hospitals, becoming the main point of contact and assuming the role of key worker. The post holder will provide specific expertise that enables patients to cope and live with endocrine cancer. There will be opportunities to develop nurse led clinics, focussing on adjustment of thyroxine doses.
