The Department of Diabetes and Endocrinology, Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a new full-time Consultant to join a dynamic, enthusiastic and forward thinking team. The department is currently involved in many exciting initiatives and are looking for an individual with appropriate skills to complement this team and help keep the service in the forefront of clinical excellence. The department offers a wide range of services to patients with diabetes and endocrine disorders. The new consultant will help run and develop these services across both sites of the trust. The post-holder will undertake both general outpatient sessions and have the opportunity to develop areas of special interest. They will be expected to take an active role in research and development and to participate in the teaching programs of the department. You must be fully registered with the GMC and on the Specialist Register, or within six months of attaining your CCT or equivalent at interview stage. The closing date for applications is 29 December 2008 and interviews will be held on 22 January 2009.
