Via naturejobs. An exciting opportunity has arisen for a postdoctoral scientist to join the Islet Transplant Research Group, Nuffield Department of Surgery. The successful candidate will be based in the Nuffield Department of Surgery and the DRWF Human Islet Isolation Facility at the Oxford Centre for Diabetes, Endocrinology, and Metabolism (OCDEM), and will be part of the Human Islet Isolation Team. They will be expected to undertake and develop an ongoing research project in pancreatic islet neogenesis and islet development. It would be desirable but not essential if applicants had previous practical experience of human islet isolation. Applicants should also have some experience of pancreatic-related research at postdoctoral level. Available immediately, this full-time post is funded for 1 year in the first instance.
