The Diabetes Trials Unit (DTU) is seeking to appoint a highly skilled, dynamic and self-motivated individual, with a successful track record in the management of large scale multi-national clinical trials, to the position of Head of Clinical Research. This is a new and exciting opportunity to oversee the management of a significant section of the Unit's growing research portfolio. The Head of Clinical Research will report directly to the DTU Director and will play a major role in the expansion and strategic development of the Unit. They will apply trial management best practices to oversee and drive the development and successful execution of the Unit's world class megatrials. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong decision-making skills and be able to lead, motivate and manage the performance of a multi-disciplinary team. They will have a comprehensive and thorough understanding of clinical trial methodology and the international regulatory environment as well as proven experience of successfully initiating, managing and delivering large scale multi-national clinical trials.
