The University of Manchester are seeking a technician with experience of endocrine sciences-associated laboratory techniques to work full-time in the Faculty of Life Sciences on a salary of £17,169 p.a. Applicants should have some experience in running and co-ordinating a range of laboratory facilities. Experience of cell culture, monoclonal antibody production and immunoassay development, along with molecular biology techniques are preferred. The chosen candidate will be required to analyse hormones and hormone precursors in patient samples as part of collaborations with endocrinologists in the UK and abroad. Applicants must have an ONC or 2 A levels/NVO level 2 and GCSEs (including Maths, Science and English). A HNC or BSc (or equivalent) in biological sciences or a related subject is desirable.
