Fight for Sight Eye: Research Officer

Fight for Sight is the UK’s largest charity dedicated to funding world-class research into the prevention and treatment of blindness and eye disease. Fight for Sight’s research programme is expanding with annual grant commitments now over £2m. Research is funded across a wide range of academic institutes and hospitals. The role of the research officer is to manage the charity’s research programme and the postholder will a) organise the grant funding and peer review process for new grants b) monitor, help evaluate and interpret existing research grants made by the charity and c) work with the fundraising team of the charity to ensure that research outcomes are communicated to the charity’s supporters. A job description and person specification is available. The job will be based in London and the salary will be £32,000 - £36,000 plus 10% pension contribution.
