Research presented in JAMA Network Open suggests that patients receiving cognitive behavioural therapy 1 year after bariatric surgery saw notable improvements in disordered eating and psychological distress compared to patients who did not receive CBT. There were some improvements in weight loss in the cohort receiving therapy.
