Society for Endocrinology - a world-leading authority on hormones

Events and Training Committee

The Events and Training Committee oversees the development of the Society’s events and training portfolio, ensuring it aligns with the Society Strategy and meets the evolving needs of members.

The role of this committee is not to organise events, but to continuously review our portfolio, to assess whether it meets the needs of our members. It will also consider whether events should be expanded, stopped or reformatted, and if there is a demand for new events or training. When needs are identified, working groups will be created to plan events in more detail, before presenting plans to Council via this committee.

We are seeking full members to put themselves forward for election on our new Events and Training committee - all professional groups are encouraged to apply. We are also inviting early career scientists and early career clinicians to put themselves forward for the remaining early career training lead vacancies. The key criterion is enthusiasm and a keen interest in shaping our events and training portfolio so that it maximises impact and meets all our members’ needs.

Committee members are required to attend two meetings per year. The first meeting will take place online on the 17th April. The second meeting will take place in September, in-person. The exact date will be confirmed after committee members are appointed.
