A massive congratulations to previous Society member, Professor Partha Kar, who has recently been made an Officer of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire (OBE).

Professor Kar is a consultant in diabetes and endocrinology at Portsmouth Hospitals NHS Trust and national specialty advisor for diabetes with NHS England, as well as joint clinical lead of GIRFT’s diabetes workstream. He receives this honour for his significant contribution to improving and transforming diabetes care throughout his career.
