King's College, London are inviting applications for a two year Action Medical Research funded Research Associate post based within the Research Division of Reproduction and Endocrinology. The project will focus on i) the molecular identification of potassium channel profiles in human uterine smooth muscle and ii) the contribution of K channels/currents to human uterine smooth muscle function. Applicants should be suitably trained at undergraduate level in physiological/biomolecular subjects and hold a PhD. Experience in at least two or more of the following techniques is essential: patch clamp electrophysiology, digital calcium imaging, in vitro tension measurement, qPCR and Western blot/immunolocalisation studies. Salary will be offered on Grade 6 spine point 31 currently at £28,289 per annum plus £2,323 London Allowance.
