Following months of uncertainty, we are pleased to say the UK will be fully stocked with the desmopressin spray on December 15th. This formulation is the same. Patients will be contacted by the pituitary foundation to contact the HCP for a new prescription. Aspire are the new manufacturer for this product. Ferring’s product should be available in late 2026.

- Aspire have chosen a reduced wholesaler model through Alliance Healthcare to support the following:
- National coverage ensuring purchasing points across the UK will have access to stock
- Quick and efficient return to market through processing of orders for a single wholesaler only
- Consistency of supply – one wholesaler supports strong coverage at depot level and reduces risk of wholesaler stock outs
- Clear communication to customers of a single ordering point
To make this available there has a huge amount of clinical support and activity, the pituitary foundation has put a lot of effort to pull together a report for the MRHA, coordinated via our head office team to expedite this process. We are very grateful for all involvement.
