In March over 1,000 of you joined us in Harrogate for three days of shared learning, networking across disciplines, and celebrating inspiring achievements. We would like to thank all who attended for their energy, curiosity and enthusiasm to make it another year to remember.
The conference marked the beginning of a special year for the Society - our 80th anniversary!
Made up of over 150 sessions across three days, SfE BES offered something for everyone in the endocrine community. We heard from endocrine legends like György Buzsáki, Graham Russell, and Eystein Husebye; had questions answered in 'Meet the expert' and 'How do I...?' sessions; and heard about new discoveries and work being done by the community. SfE BES also gives an opportunity for Endocrine Networks to meet and discuss new projects and progressions in their specialisms. Plus, SfE BES always includes a full day of nurses sessions, running in parallel to the main programme, giving our endocrine nurse community a chance to connect with others around the country.
Society president (2022-2026) Márta Korbonits passed the torch to Kristien Boelaert at the SfE Annual General Meeting and we commemorated the occasion as part of the Conference Dinner with a cake cutting before an evening of food and dancing.
As well as being an opportunity to celebrate our endocrine community through a range of awards and prizes, SfE BES invited schools from the local area to learn more about what endocrinology is and why we love it.
Once again, a huge congratulations to all our prize and award winners; your work in endocrinology continues to inspire us all.
Recorded sessions will be available to watch on demand soon. Members can access videos for free. Non members can register for on demand access here.
