Exercising at high altitudes may be risky for people with type 1 diabetes

A new study published in The Journal of Clinical Endocrinology and Metabolism finds that high-altitude exercise risks lowering blood glucose levels in individuals with type 1 diabetes, leading to recommendations that patients exercising at high altitude monitor their blood sugar levels more carefully.
