The effect that social media is having on the research environment is becoming more and more clear. New ways of sharing research findings through blogs, peer-to-peer review through instant communication and countless more current and emerging ways of finding and disseminating information are transforming academia.

The International Centre for Guidance Studies has produced a guide to social media for researchers, to demonstrate what is out there and how it can be used (and mis-used).
