Peninsula Medical School, University of Exeter wishes to appoint a committed and highly motivated clinical research fellow to undertake research into utilising urinary C-peptide measurement to improve diagnosis and clinical care in young onset diabetes. Applicants should have substantial clinical experience in this area and the desire to gain academic recognition by pursuing a PhD. This is a full-time post available immediately on a fixed term basis until 31 March 2012. The salary will be in the range of £33,226 to £48,451 depending on experience. The fellow will join a vibrant and expanding clinical research team with an outstanding success rate in supervising PhD/MD's. The successful candidate will be in possession of MRCP or equivalent and will have speciality experience in paediatrics. The fellow will have a clinical attachment in the department of Diabetes and Endocrinology at the Royal Devon and Exeter NHS Foundation Trust to enable continuation of clinical training and skills.
